I have tried Freestockcharts.com and it was great, however, sometimes it doesn't give a broader depth of the stock or the market. I think for beginners it's great, since you can use it for free, however, if you're a beginners and want a broader depth you might want to try using www.bigcharts.com. They are free as well and offer a lot of technical indicators too. Thanks for mentioning freestockcharts.com, i had not used it prior to reading this post.

Freestockcharts.com provides user friendly stock charts for the beginners just starting out and wanting to learn about indicators and technical analysis. I liked them enough to use them on my website for almost all the images. I agree, though that for day trading, one must use more advanced tools once they are past the novice stage. Today's advanced day trading software allows for entering trades and moving stops directly from the charts.
